Run tgdb_local_proxy.py once on your machine and this button fetches box art automatically from then on — no browser CORS issues, and your API key never sits in this page's HTML. Without it, Spine tries a direct browser request instead, which TheGamesDB doesn't always allow.
This key is stored in this page's own code, in plain sight — anyone you send this file to can read it, unless you're using tgdb_local_proxy.py, which keeps its own separate copy of the key instead. Swap in a different key any time, or rotate this one on TheGamesDB's site if you'd rather it not be shared.
Pull a case to spin it in 3D. Click the case itself to crack it open and see the booklet and disc art inside. Cover art can be pulled from TheGamesDB, using your own API key.
Drop a Gameye restore point (.ged) straight in — Spine reads it directly in your browser and nothing is uploaded anywhere. A plain JSON export works too, and Spine will match common field names automatically.
Note: Spine can't fetch official box art on its own — any art URLs you include should be images you have the right to use (your own photos, self-hosted scans, etc).
Spine can't source official box art itself (that's copyrighted) — but for your own physical copies, a quick photo of the case, disc and booklet gives you a shelf with genuinely correct artwork. A link works too if you already have one hosted somewhere.
Leave everything blank and Spine will generate stand-in cover, disc and booklet art from the title instead.
